In short, copywriting is using language to persuade people into taking action like donate, sign up, or buy. But I'm less interested in the 'hard sell' and more intrigued by why people act and think the way they do.
That’s how I can help you. I’m a creative writer, using my love of language, meticulous research skills, and interviewing experience to engage people with your product, service or campaign.
I write primarily for the UK market, but I’ve also worked with clients in Europe, North America and Asia.
I worked closely with the marketing manager and events team across the event campaign for a tough, 3-day bike ride from Liege in Belgium to Guy's Cancer in London. My role was a mix of editorial and campaign copy including interviewing patients and website copy.
I write travel content and copy for a sustainable travel company that takes people on adventures to places like Svalbard Archipelago in The High Arctic. It's been fun to explore these destinations while wrapped up in my flat, escaping for some vicarious travel.
Contemporary jewellery designer Alicia Felberbaum wanted a local copywriter with experience in working with independent creatives to help with her website refresh. She had a very good understanding of the relationship between design and copy and her pieces are beautiful, so it was great working with a talented maker.
I wrote copy for the Gardener’s Biochar brochure, aimed at keen gardeners who want to use sustainable composting.
