I charge by a day rate, content retainer, or fixed project fee. I don't charge per word or an hourly rate unless it's for an editorial commission.

Perhaps you need flexible, additional editorial or content support for your organisation or team. That could be a certain number of hours of content per month or quarter.
Alternatively, plan ahead for busy periods such as major fundraising events, and schedule in time to take the pressure off your team.
For longer projects or longer form copy, I would recommend using an external proofreader (unless you have your own) which will cost circa £20 per hour and I'll add it to my quote. There's no VAT on top, and I don't charge extra for meetings. For more info, check out my Terms of Service.
